The 2JZ-GTE is a 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo that Toyota over-engineered to a degree that the aftermarket has been exploiting for thirty years. The block is cast iron. The head is aluminium. The connecting rods and crankshaft were built to handle torque figures that Toyota never intended for road use, which is how the 2JZ became the engine that builders take to four-figure horsepower numbers on the original bottom end. It was fitted to the MKIV A80 Supra and became a benchmark that Toyota's own engineers still reference. This t-shirt is for the people who understand why.
