Pricing Strategy Just Got More Sophisticated
Today we're excited to announce Geographic Pricing — a powerful new feature for brands on the Growth plan and above. Geo-pricing lets you set different wholesale prices for the same products across geographic regions, giving you fine-grained control over your pricing strategy.
Why Geographic Pricing Matters
Not all markets are created equal. A bestselling product in California might command a different margin in rural Montana. Geo-pricing lets you:
Optimize margins by region — Adjust pricing based on local competition and demand.
Expand into new markets — Offer competitive pricing to enter high-growth regions.
Respect local dynamics — Account for shipping costs, local taxes, and economic conditions per region.
Scale intelligently — Automate region-based pricing without managing 100 separate product SKUs.
How It Works
Setting up geo-pricing is simple:
Go to Catalog → Products and select a product.
Click the Geographic Pricing section.
Add regions (e.g., "West Coast", "Southeast", "Europe") and set the wholesale price for each.
Save. Retailers in that region will automatically see the region-specific price when they order.
Retailers never see the behind-the-scenes configuration—they just see fair, consistent pricing for their location.
Real-World Example
Imagine you're a footwear brand with a popular sneaker. Your cost is $15; you usually wholesale for $25 (66% margin). With geo-pricing, you might:
West Coast (high competition): $23 (53% margin) — competitive entry, high volume expected.
Midwest (moderate competition): $25 (66% margin) — standard margin.
Southeast (emerging market): $27 (80% margin) — premium positioning in an underserved region.
Same product, same brand, but tailored pricing that maximizes revenue in each market. And as demand shifts, you can adjust prices without re-listing products.
What's Coming Next
We're planning to add:
Dynamic pricing adjustments — Automatic price changes based on demand signals and inventory levels.
Competitor price monitoring — Optional integration with market data to suggest optimal prices.
Seasonality adjustments — Raise or lower prices seasonally for different regions.
Availability
Geographic Pricing is available now on the Growth plan and above. If you're on the Basic plan and want to try it out, upgrade to Growth at Settings → Billing to unlock this feature and others.
