Send a message of kindness, care and love with these gorgeous, simple and vibrant cards. A pack of cards featuring my daughter Maddie's original drawings with a simple message on the front. The inside is blank and the back has the 1000 Hearts logo and/or a credit to the artist. The Kindness Pack come with one each in four designs: Thinking of You, Sending Love, Wishing You Peace and Be Happy. The Nature Pack comes with one each in five designs, two with "Happy Birthday" and designs featuring snails, mushrooms and such delights. This document brings together the magic and the science of 1000 Hearts by explaining the evidence base underpinning the project and examining how this can inspire us to share and maximise the benefits for anyone who gets involved. Pocket Heart with a Pocket Heart

These hearts are something special and a bit cute - each one has a pocket with a tiny heart in it. Embodying the core message of 1000 Hearts, these serve as a reminder that even a kindness heart needs care and comfort sometimes. A symbol of self-compassion, these hearts are lovingly hand cut and stitched by Sarah, the founder of 1000 Hearts. They are made from pure wool felt and stuffing, so they are kind to our planet too. Hearts are 4.5cm wide (the same size as the original heart template) and are small enough to be stashed in a pocket, pencil case, handbag or wallet. Hearts come individually wrapped in a biodegradable cellophane bag with a 1000 Hearts mini card.

Cards and bags for wrapping hearts

Once your hearts are made, it's great to wrap them before you share. Wrapping makes hearts more hygienic for sharing in medical or community settings, stops hearts getting dusty and allows the message of 1000 Hearts to be shared with people who receive a heart. This lets people know about our global kindness community and why the heart has been shared with them. Packs include 20 biodegradable cellophane bags and 20 card inserts with the 1000 Hearts logo and message. Cards are 8.5 x 4 cm in size - the same length as a standard business card, but narrower. There are two options for the card inserts Original pocket heart Original heart with space to write the name of the Heartist - “made by…” Dark hearts There are free downloadable resources available on this website that you can print to share the message of 1000 hearts (under Heartists - Heartist Resources tab). Although I know it might be tempting, please note that it is a breach of copyright and trademark law to create items yourself that use the 1000 Hearts logo.

The Mini Beginni (no, it's not a typo!) kit is small and compact, with everything you need to make a small batch of hearts (you can choose either 10 or 20). It's perfect for beginners, small projects, or busy heartists stitching on the go. It's mini, and it's ideal for the beginning of your hearting journey, the commencement of a project or just a fresh start.The kit contains 20 or 40 pre-cut felt hearts in a mix of brights and pastels (choose the SMALL kit that makes 10 hearts or the LARGE kit which makes 20) and enough thread and stuffing to make your hearts. Pre-Cuts for Layered or Multi-Sized Hearts

Feeling creative? These pre-cuts allow you to make hearts in different sizes and makes layered embellished hearts so much simpler and easier to create. The small and tiny sizes also make lovely embellishments for the original pocket hearts adding a safe, stitched design to be added to hearts.Hearts are pre-cut to the four original 1000 Hearts template shapes. All are cut from pure wool felt in either bright or pastel combinations. You can choose a mixed pack which includes all four sizes, or buy the sizes individually.The measurement across the widest part of each size is Large (65mm), Medium/Original (45mm), Small (33mm), Tiny (22mm). All hearts are cut to the size and shape of the 1000 Hearts templates, which can be purchased separately in-store if you prefer to cut out your own hearts. These hearts have been die-cut using a customised forme, so hearts are consistently shaped. This means colours and sizes can be mixed and matched as you please. The Mixed Packs contain 48 pieces, with 12 pre-cuts in each size. The Single-Size packs contain 24 pieces in the size specified. Please note that specific colours included vary a little between packs. Show your devotion to 1000 Hearts and proclaim your heartiness loud and proud with this gorgeous Tee! It has the 1000 Hearts logo on the front, with the words "Global Kindness Community" underneath. The basic logo Tee in a unisex, crew neck style. Available in white, sizes S, M, L & XL. Our model Jason is 6 feet tall with a slim build (self-described "Dad bod") and wears a size Large. T-Shirt brand is AS Colour, so if you have any of their tees, use this as a guide. Fit for this one is on the slim side, so suggest going up half - one size if you're unsure. It's comfy and good quality, nice and soft, made from 100% combed cotton in a mid-weight. The logo will fade slightly with washing, but should stay put a good long time. Also available in women's scoop neck style.

Thread - Threadworx variegated

1000 Hearts

This thread really is divine - it's made by Threadworx in the US and I have it available in the two colours I use over and over for making hearts - Bradley's Balloons (bright rainbow) and Wildflowers (pastel gorgeousness) as well as some other fun colours. The bright rainbow version is the thread I use to make Dark Hearts, and is the thread included in Dark Hearts kits. This six-strand thread comes as a 20-yard skein, cut into 20 one-yard pieces. This is the equivalent of a little over 18m total, with each skein measuring around 91cm. With the way I stitch, I get two hearts from one length, which means that once I split my thread, I can make 6 hearts from one thread length and about 120 hearts per skein. Blanket stitch tends to use more thread, so these figures may not work for the blanket stitchers amongst us.
