Hearts are pre-cut to the 1000 Hearts shape from pure wool felt in single colours, so you can customise your heart-making and choose your favourites! Perfect if you are making hearts for an event or to fit with a brand, colour scheme or charity cause.These hearts have been die-cut using a customised die so each heart is exactly the same and colours can be mixed and matched as you please. Pre-cuts come in packs of 50 pre-cuts in a single colour. You can choose your colour from the list below - there are bright and pastel options as well as black and white. Hearts are 4.5cm wide.

Stuffing (pure wool) - 50g

1000 Hearts

This pure wool stuffing is perfect for filling your pocket hearts. It has a short fibre, ideal for tiny projects like hearts. This means there won't be long strands to tuck into the heart as you stuff it - the wool fibre is short and pulls off in tufts rather than long threads. The stuffing comes in a 50-gram packet, wrapped in a biodegradable cellophane bag and sealed with a 1000 Hearts sticker. Depending on how firmly you stuff your heart, this pack will be enough to fill approximately 50 hearts.

At their widest point, the templates measure: Large: 6.5cm Medium: 4.5cm (this is the original 1000 Hearts template) Small: 3.2cm Tiny: 2.2cm The large template is great for people who want to make pocket hearts and find it easier to work with bigger pieces. The little ones can be used to make tiny layered hearts, or to create mini pocket hearts (so cute!!) This is a great project for people who have mastered the plain, original pocket hearts and are looking for a challenge. Be warned - it's addictive because once you make one, you just want to do different colours and buttons and stitches...! This PDF includes instructions for small, three-layered hearts and larger embellished hearts, with tips on variations. Workshop Guide - UPDATED & EXTENDED

1000 Hearts

Updated and extended in September 2024, with lots of great new information and suggested activities. Heart-making is a lovely way to bring people together and teach participants about the benefits of stitching and sharing pocket hearts. Buttons

1000 Hearts

Tiny buttons that are the right size for embellishing hearts are hard to find! I've done the legwork for you and offer Tiny (about 6mm wide) and Micro Mini (about 4mm wide) versions in a few different colours and shapes. These buttons fit well on hearts cut from any of the 1000 Hearts templates, including the smallest layer on the embellished hearts. These are the buttons I use when making embellished and layered hearts. The mixed packs come with 40 per pack and are hand-packaged in specific colour ranges, while the Dress It Up (DIU) packs come prepackaged as shown, with various colours, designs and quantities. Please check the photo of the pack you are selecting to make sure you are getting the ones you want (though they are all pretty gorgeous!)
